The 2025 Changes – Mandatory Registration for Support Coordinators

Until recently, support coordinators did not need to be registered with the NDIS Commission. However, following the NDIS Review recommendations, the government announced that all support coordinators must be registered by July 2025.

Support Coordination vs. Navigators – The Future of the NDIS

The 2023–24 NDIS Review recommended that support coordinators and LACs (Local Area Coordinators) be replaced with a new role called Navigators. These Navigators would provide more consistent and connected support across both NDIS and mainstream services.
